Welcome to our adventure where we offer a unique and unforgettable experience exploring the beautiful Jabal Akhdar region in Oman.
Jabal Akhdar, which translates to “Green Mountain” in Arabic, is a stunning mountain range situated in the northern region of Oman. The region is known for its breathtaking landscapes, picturesque villages, and refreshing climate, making it a perfect escape from the heat of the desert.
The roses grown in Jabal Akhdar are a special variety known as Damask roses or Rosa damascena. These roses are highly prized for their fragrance and are used in the production of rose water, rose oil, and other cosmetics.
During the rose harvest season, visitors can witness the traditional rose harvesting and distillation process and even participate in it. The rose petals are collected early in the morning while the dew is still on them, and then they are distilled to extract the fragrant rose oil and rose water.
The rose harvest season is a popular time to visit Jabal Akhdar, and many hotels and tour operators offer special packages and activities during this time.
During this tour, you will have the opportunity to explore the region’s terraced farms, rose gardens, and fruit orchards. You will also get to witness the stunning views of the Al Hajar Mountains and the deep Wadis (valleys) that carve their way through the mountainous landscape.
