Day One: Khan Al Khalili and El Fishawi Cafe: We will take Air Arabia Flight from Sharjah departing Cairo Bound at 12:50 and when we arrive , we will be picked up by our guide in Cairo Airport and dropped to our hotel. After settling in, we will be picked up to visit Khan Al Khalili; a famous bazaar and (or souk) in the historic centre of Cairo. Established as a center of trade in the Mamluk era. The bazaar district has since become one of Cairo’s main attractions for Egyptians. It is also home to many Egyptian artisans and workshops involved in the production of traditional crafts and souvenirs. We will sip the famous tea at El Fishawy Cafe; Cairo’s oldest cafe. It has been managed by the same family since 1773. It’s open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Then we will have dinner in Cairo’s oldest district.
Day Two: Pyramids of Giza , the Sphinx and Cairo Museum : After breakfast at the hotel, we will kick off our journey with a visit to the iconic Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx, where you will stand in awe of the colossal structures that have withstood the test of time. After soaking in the splendor of the pyramids, we will move on to the renowned Cairo Museum, where you will witness a treasure trove of ancient artifacts and treasures. This museum houses an incredible collection of over 120,000 artifacts, ranging from the golden treasures of Tutankhamun to the royal mummies of Egypt’s pharaohs. Our expert guides will take you on a journey through time, regaling you with tales of the pharaohs and the secrets of the ancient Egyptian civilization.
Day Three: Domestic flight to Aswan and Philae Temple visit, Old Aswan Market and overnight in the Nile Cruise:
We will be picked up from our hotel to the airport for our early morning domestic flight to Aswan. We will check in at our Nile Cruise ship and then we will visit the Philae Temple. Then we will sail around the Aga Khan Mausoleum and Elephantine Island. At night we will visit old Aswan Souq for some memorabilia.
Day Four: Abu Simbel, Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples: We will leave early in the morning to visit Abu Simbel; an ancient temple complex, originally cut into a solid rock cliff and located at the second cataract of the Nile River. The two temples which comprise the site were created during the reign of Ramesses II between 1264 – 1244 BCE. Then we will head back to our Cruiser to set sail and visit Kom Ombo & Edfu Temples:
- Explore the Kom Ombo Temple, a unique temple dedicated to two gods, Sobek and Horus.
- Visit the Temple of Edfu, one of the most well-preserved ancient Egyptian temples dedicated to the falcon-headed god, Horus.
Day Five: Luxor West Bank: Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon:
- Discover the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs were entombed with their wealth and treasures.
- Visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, the mortuary temple of Egypt’s first female pharaoh.
- See the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues that are all that remains of a temple built by Amenhotep III.
Day Six: Luxor East Bank: Al Karnak Temple and evening Domestic flight from Luxor to Cairo:
- Tour the Karnak Temple, the largest ancient religious complex in the world, dedicated to the god Amun.
- Explore the Luxor Temple, an ancient temple complex built for the veneration of the god Amun.
After the temple visit , we will have time to explore Luxor and have lunch there. We will then check out from our Nile cruise ship and head to the airport in time for our domestic flight to Cairo. Then we will take our Air Arabia International flight back to Sharjah departing at 01:20 on the 8th October.
