Day One : arrival at CMB airport around 8 a.m with air arabia (Airport transfer and head on 4 hours drive to Kandy): On the way , we will stop for breakfast and some refreshments and then to knuckles mountain range for the Spice Route 7 KM trek amidst the tea plantations, rural farms passing through scenic panoramic viewpoints and two water falls where you will get a chance to have a refreshing dip. In this hike, you will be introduced to the spice route and the natural flora and Fauna of Kandy. Then we reach our ecolodge for lunch and some free time in the midst of the forest. overnight in the eco lodge after dinner.

Day Two: (Nuwaraeliya to Ella Scenic train ride and Tea Factory Visit) after breakfast we will drive to Nuwaraeliya. On the way passing Kandy city we will visit a scenic waterfall then head for a tea factory guided visit where you can savour the different types of Cylon Tea. Then we will head to Nuwaraeliya city and catch the train to Ella. The total train journey from Nuwara Eliya to Ella takes around 3.5 to 4 hours. The train will cross over many mountain ranges. It also gives you a chance to soak in the mystic vibes, and cherish the beauty of slow travel. Overnight at Ella in an eco lodge and time at leisure where you can enjoy the vibrant town of Ella at night.

Day Three: (Little Adam’s peak hike, tea plantations and the Nine Arch Bridge). After breakfast, we will head to Ella’s Little Adam’s peak which is a hiking hotspot in the mountain country of Sri Lanka. Some of the views from hikes in Ella are phenomenal with the region well known for its tea plantations and spectacular mountain ranges. If you want to enjoy some of the best views without needing to hike for hours, Little Adam’s Peak Hike is the perfect trek of 1.5 KM (Zipline is optional at an extra cost).

Then we will walk to the Nine Arch Bridge, also known as the ‘Bridge in the Sky’ which was constructed by connecting two big mountains when constructing the Badulla – Colombo railway. This bridge is 300 feet in length, 25 feet in width and 80-100 feet in height. It is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the country. Then we will have lunch in Ella and drive to the Turtle Hatchery centre to see baby turtles and then drive to Unawatuna Beach for overnight in a beach hotel and time at leisure.

Day Four: After breakfast , we will leave the Beach and head to Galle Dutch Colonial town. Galle is a jewel. A Unesco World Heritage Site, this historic city is a delight to explore on foot, an endlessly exotic old trading port blessed with imposing Dutch-colonial buildings, ancient mosques and churches, grand mansions and museums. Wandering its rambling lanes you’ll pass stylish cafes, quirky boutiques and impeccably restored hotels owned by local and foreign artists, writers, photographers and designers. Afterwards we will head straight to the airport to catch our return flight with air arabia.
